Recordings and Replays
The ViewAR App includes the feature to create in-app recordings which save additional data other then the raw camera image. These recordings are of great help in cause analysis and should, if possible, always be included when reporting a problem
Debug Menu
Click on the tool icon in the lower left corner to enter the debug menu and toggle the Record/Replay Mode
Recordings and Replays
To record a session please select the Record Mode, exit the debug menu and start your project. Recording will start with the tracking initialisation screen and stop either by going to the Hone/Map screen or exiting the app.
Don't forget to toggle off the Record/Replay mode once you are done.
If you want to replay a file, go to the debug menu, select the Replay Mode and which recording to play. Open your project to start the playback.
File Extraction
iOS - connect the phone or tablet to your MacOS device and open it in finder. Select the "Files" tab and expand the ViewAR App. You will find a folder titled "Recordings", drag that folder onto your harddisk and send us the content. On a Windows device you will have to use iTunes.
Android - to extract the files from your Android device either send them directly from the file manager App of your device. The path should be Internal Storage/Android/data/com.viewar.sdk/files/Recordings. Or you connect it to your PC and copy the folder first.
If you can't see any files in your Android File Manager App, either connect your device to a PC or download a File Browser App that gives your root access.
