Workflows
Introduction
Digital workflows help you optimize service quality and save time for complex or repetitive workflows. Workflows can be standalone or tied to a POI of an IndoAR map.
Workflows consist of steps, each step may consist of:
- Description
- Images
- Videos
- Forms
- 3D-labels
Adding new workflow
To create a new workflow, select Workflows from the header menu and click on the button “Add” on the “Workflow Overview” page. Give your new Workflow a name, description and link it to a map.
You can link your workflow now at the creation screen or afterwards in the settings menu.
Settings
You can find the settings menu besides the selected Workflow under the header menu.
General
Workflow Result API
Here you can define a URL directing your workflow results towards an API instead of receiving an E-Mail.Foreign Key / Customer ID
The foreign key can be used to access external databases. Content of other databases can be implemented by means of an ID for example.3D Label Path Select wether or not a path to the 3D label of a step should be shown.
Map Linking
- Link workflows with maps Here you can link the created workflow with an existing IndoAR map. Just select the maps that you want to link the workflows with.
Create steps
There 3 ways to create additional steps:
- Click on the blue "+" under an existing step
- Drag a new and connected step from the "Next" exit
- Right-click on the viewport to create a new step
You can also create multiple paths out of a step by simply selecting it and adding one under the "Add Next Step" menu by clicking on the button.
Open/close preview
You have the ability to preview the workflow in the admin interface. Press play on the sub header menue and a new screen will open up.
You can act through your Workflow here. On this screen you can also scan the QR Code to preview the workflow in the App. If you are done, press the close button.
Add form
To add a form element click on the "+ Add form element" button in the step options on the right hand side of your screen. You can select from 3 types, Input Field, Checklist and Dropdown menu.
Input Field
Create a form where the user can type his own input for more flexible responses.Checklist
Create a checklist that can be either multiple or single choice as well as make a selection mandatory.Dropdown
Create a dropdown for the user to choose his answer. You can set a selection as mandatory.Signature
Create a signature field for the user to sign.Picture
Create a picture field for teh user to take a picture
Image Gallery
Add multiple pictures to your step to aid the user in their workflow.
Video Files
Upload files to enhance the readabiltiy of your tasks.
Add 3D-label
If you have the workflow linked to a map, you can either place a 3D Label or use one from an existing POI by selecting it's highlight. This can be done for each step individually to help guide the view of the user. Select a step and click on "Add 3D Label" from the right hand options menu.
Use POI/Highlight
To use an existing POI or Highlight select a map and the POI you want to use.
Create new 3D Label
To place a new 3D label select a map where you want to put it and give it a title.
Press the save button and a new view of your scan will open up.
Here you can place the new label, click save and you will be taken back to the workflows screen.
Hold the alt or option key on your keyboard to rotate and move the camera.
Navigation Point
Create or select a POI to use as a Navigation Point should the user be required to move larger distances.
Link POI with workflow
To link a POI with a workflow you need to select the desired POI in the "Maps" screen and choose the workflow you want to link to under the "Workflow" menu in the POI options.
